Through projects, you’ll practice your skills and have a portfolio of work to show to future employers, in addition to earning a certificate from UT Non-Credit Programs and Facebook. This program is designed for students with little or no experience in digital marketing, and helps prepare you for the Facebook Certified Digital Marketing Associate Exam and the Google Analytics Individual Qualification. The program was created in partnership with Facebook and is fully online.
Facebook Course #1: Foundations and Strategy of MarketingThis course is designed to introduce you to the basics of Digital Marketing. It aims to develop your understanding of marketing in the context of a business and provide a framework for you to think about concepts such as segmentation, targeting, value propositions, and metrics. You’ll be assessed throughout the course through exercises on the topics. The course culminates in a final presentation in which you’ll use the PACE framework to analyze and create a digital marketing plan for a chosen company.
Facebook Course #2: Marketing Analytics & Performance OptimizationThis course aims to give you the skills needed to analyze results of marketing efforts. You’ll learn about factors that drive conversion and how to optimize their efforts using data and A/B testing. You’ll understand what the key metrics for digital marketing are. You’ll be assessed through three projects that give you an opportunity to get hands-on experience using spreadsheets, Google Analytics, and analyzing an A/B test.
Facebook Course #3: Social Media MarketingThis course gives you a deeper understanding of the role social media plays in a digital marketing strategy. You’ll learn about different platforms and their best practices. You’ll create a social media strategy that builds on the material in Course #1. The final capstone project will give you an opportunity to test your social media skills as well as create a real ad campaign on the Facebook platform.
