Vertebrate Zoology
(Grades 4-8, rising)
Join us for a fascinating look at the world of zoology: the scientific study of animals. In this camp you’ll explore the biology and diversity of vertebrates as well as the incredible variation in feeding, locomotion, appearance, and habitats of fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. We’ll observe animals both in their natural habitats and in the lab. Note: On Wednesday, we’ll meet at Ijams Nature Center, and on Friday, we’ll meet at Zoo Knoxville for a tour. Zoo admission is included in the camp fee.

Riveting Reptiles & Awesome Amphibians
(Grades 4-7, rising)
Are you ready to explore the world of herpetology? In this exciting camp you’ll study reptiles and amphibians and discover their unique characteristics, behavioral patterns, and habitats. We’ll also explore the future of these fascinating creatures, including problems such as overhunting and habitat destruction. Note: On Tuesday, we’ll meet at an off-site location, and on Thursday, we’ll meet at Zoo Knoxville for a tour. Zoo admission is included in the camp fee. Instructors: Ben Holt and Morgan Fleming
